Tanks-A-Lot water tanks has a vacancy open for a Level 1 Maintenance Technician. The details are as follows:
- Preferable Location: Kingston and St. Andrew

A general maintenance technician in the manufacturing industry is responsible for the upkeep and repair of production machinery, electrical systems, and facilities. The duties include:
- Ensuring that tanks and industrial machinery and equipment run smoothly and reliably.
- preventive maintenance, testing, adjusting, repairing, and servicing a wide range of machines and mechanical systems.
- performing diagnostic tests to detect malfunctions, inspecting machines periodically for any signs of wear and tear, and conducting regular maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide input on machinery purchases and ensure that new equipment is installed and calibrated correctly.
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and replacement of parts to correct machinery malfunctions.
Qualifications Required:
- Education: High school diploma (CXC/CSEC with Math/English preferred); trade certification (e.g., HEART/NSTA Certification or other certification).
- Experience: 3-5 years in general maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and preventive upkeep of machinery.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintenance and repairs and safety protocols. Additional technical training or a degree in a related field is an asset.
Key Abilities
Physical fitness for lifting, standing, and working in varied conditions; valid driver's license; problem-solving, teamwork and communication for reporting issues.
General Skills required:
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues leading to machine breakdowns and interruptions in production
- Physical strength and dexterity required to handle various machinery parts and tools
